Olympus OM vintage primes set

First introduced in 1972 and designed by the visionary Yoshihisa Maitani, the Olympus OM full-frame lenses are fast at f/2, sharp, with low chromatic aberration, excellent colour representation, have a gentle and natural feel with smooth focus fall-off and their multi-coated optics give contrast and easily-controlled warm and big flares. The bokeh is beautifully textured.

All lenses are compact, light-weight, have close-focus and are consistent throughout the set.

A recent addition is a Carl Zeiss Contax 60mm Macro 2.8 from 1967 with similar characteristics.

This set is cine-modded by Elliot Gilfoyle from EGG lenses. They’re converted to EF mount, have 0.8 Pitch focus gears and a 95 mm front ring.

Current available focus lengths:

21 mm
35 mm
50 mm
60 mm macro
85 mm

They’re an affordable way to get a set that strikes a nice balance between vintage and modern optics when rehoused sets of Olympus OM cine lenses from companies such as Zero Optik and Arri Rental (Moviecam) (Dune, part two) are out of reach.
