Bristol Old Vic Theatre Fundraising film
Built in 1766 as a place where the people of Bristol could come together, Bristol Old Vic is the oldest continuously working theatre in the English speaking world.
And like so many cultural establishments across the country, Covid-19 has delivered a hammer blow to the theatre. In March, they lost 75% of their income overnight.
I was asked to shoot and grade the Bristol Old Vic Reopening Fundraising film by Oliver Kendall of Mint Cake Productions. The end result is a mix of archive performance footage, self-recorded pieces by actors such as Kwame Kwei-Armah, Patrick Stewart, Trudie Styler, Toby Jones and Lesley Manville, and original material shot in an empty theatre.
