Two afternoons in Portugal
Last week I had the pleasure to travel to the north of Portugal to shoot part of a project for a fashion client. I've got a special relationship with Portugal, having visited the country almost every year for the past 23 years and having worked and lived there for almost two years prior to moving to the UK as well. Because of the scheduling of the shoot and the availability of flights I had two afternoons and evenings available to explore. I stayed in Barcelos, half an hour by car north of Porto, a great little town with an amazing bridge and lots of nice buildings. The beach pictures below were shot in Apúlia, where I had one of my favourite Portuguese dishes, arroz de tamboril (monkfish and jumbo prawn rice) at restaurant A Cabana (recommended).
I upgraded my Canon 5D to a Mark IV in January and got a couple of new lenses too, so I was keen to experiment. All pictures below are shot with the Canon EF 16-35 mm f/2.8L III.
