Racing driver Chris Hignell - a mindset film

I’ve been working on four new mini documentaries about people that have had adversity in health and decided to not just survive but thrive for Create Health in Bristol, following Down But Not Out and Keep On Punching. This is the first to be released and it documents the story of Chris Hignell, who lost the sight in one eye after a fireworks accident and decided to follow his dream to become a racing driver.

The title is ‘Driven By More’ - In a flash, Chris Hignell’s life went dark. A firework to the face stole his left eye and damaged his face beyond recognition. The outlook was bleak, but after making through the night, Chris found hope, driven by a childhood dream to race cars.

Five years on, and countless operations later, Chris gained his ARDS National B Class racing licence and hasn’t looked back since. His story proves that there’s power in positive thinking. That mindset really does matter. That we are meant to thrive, not just survive.
