My agency Pixillion sponsored Social Media Week (SMWi) Bristol last week.

SMWi is a conference that curates and shares the best ideas, innovations and insights into how social media and technology are changing business and culture around the world. Social media is reinventing human connectivity and SMWi seeks to understand how humanity and technology will come together to change the ways we live, work and create.

It’s a truly global event and happens in twenty locations, four times a year, on six continents. It’s huge, and on 14-18 November 2016 it happened in Chicago, Rotterdam, Santiago, Delhi, Copenhagen, Dubai - and Bristol! This was the first time Social Media Week has ever been held in a UK city outside of London and was big news for Bristol. Very proud of our hometown!

Hosted in a selection of the city’s coolest spaces, there are three platforms of events.

  1. Keynote seminars from international industry leaders including Twitter, Buzzfeed and Yahoo.
  2. Thought Leadership sessions with agencies such as True Digital, Duchess Media, E3 and The Real Adventure.
  3. Skill up workshops designed to help you get to grips with everything from your LinkedIn profile to the use of VR and drones in social media.

There were a whopping 46 events in total throughout the week, so it was a full on hub of creativity and collaboration. We covered some of the key events in video and photography.
